1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using imgtool.app ("the site", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. What the service provides

ImgTool.app provides browser-based media tools, including a Music Visualizer that creates audio-reactive video exports. Browser and hardware requirements are described before purchase. Although we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation on every setup, this does not limit any mandatory right or remedy you have.

We may update the app to improve it, maintain security, or meet legal requirements. Changes will not remove the core paid benefits of an existing pass during its advertised access period without an appropriate remedy. If we must materially reduce or discontinue those benefits, we will explain the change and provide reasonable advance notice where possible. Urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action.

3. Your content and media

• You retain any rights you already hold in media you bring to ImgTool. Using the tools does not transfer those rights to us or give you ownership of third-party or built-in media.
• Your media is processed locally in your browser — files are not uploaded to our servers.
• By using the tools, you confirm you have the rights, licences, permissions, and clearances needed for any audio, video, images, artwork, logos, or other media you process or export.
• ImgTool.app is a general-purpose creation tool and does not review, approve, or licence-check the media you upload.
• Built-in media is subject to the permissions and restrictions on our Media credits page. You are responsible for the rights needed for media you add and for your intended publication. This does not remove any responsibility we have for the app or media we supply.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or scrape the site or its code in ways that violate these terms.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or licence key validation.
• Use the service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or violates third-party rights.
• Distribute, resell, or share licence keys with others.
• If you publish a post, review, or endorsement as part of an ImgTool reward or promo offer, fail to disclose the relevant free pass, reward, or other incentive clearly and honestly. Any paid, sponsored, or rewarded links should use rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" where possible.

5. Paid features — Release Passes

Some features of ImgTool.app require a paid licence. Current paid products may include the 10-Day Release Pass, 30-Day Creator Pass, and Annual Pass. The free tier keeps 720p export available, allows free HD exports with the support-watermark rules shown in the app, and includes one watermarked 4K test export at no cost per device. During an active pass, your own eligible exports can be created without the support watermark requirement, with clean, watermark-free 1080p and 4K export unlocked on supported setups, and with release-week tools such as Spotify Canvas, X Exports, Release Pack, Promo Still Pack, Batch Tracks, and Playlist Maker. Built-in demo tracks remain a separate evaluation lane and keep the support watermark locked on.

5a. Merchant of Record

ImgTool.app is operated and the software is supplied by Mat White, trading as INLine COMPUTERS. Paid passes are purchased from Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record and authorised reseller; the seller's legal details appear at checkout and on your receipt. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, transaction taxes, and transaction refunds under its Buyer Terms. These ImgTool terms govern use of the app and licence. 5b. Pricing and VAT

UK prices include VAT where applicable: £5 for 10 days, £9 for 30 days, or £39 for 12 months. Each is one payment with no automatic renewal. Lemon Squeezy confirms the total and seller details before payment. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy in USD. Your bank or payment provider may apply currency-conversion charges. If currency conversion applies, exchange-rate changes may affect the amount you receive back. Pricing for other countries is shown at checkout. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

5c. Licence key delivery

Upon successful payment, the advertised pass period begins and a licence key is delivered to the email address you provide at checkout. The app may also receive that key automatically on checkout return and validate it for you, or you can paste it manually into Pricing or the Music Visualizer. Standard checkout purchases use the pass window stated on the product you bought, measured from purchase. The active pass state is tied to your browser's local storage on the device where the key is entered. If you clear site data or use another browser/device, you may need to re-enter the key.

From time to time we may issue replacement, support, or admin-managed keys. Those keys may carry different expiry windows or activation limits than the standard paid passes, and the app will reflect the rules attached to that key.

5d. Refund policy

The 10-Day Release Pass, 30-Day Creator Pass, and Annual Pass provide time-limited access beginning at purchase. The cancellation information that applies is set out below and should also be retained with your order confirmation.

10-Day Release Pass refund guarantee. Send refund requests to [email protected] within 10 days of purchase, quoting your order reference. We will arrange a full refund through Lemon Squeezy and cancel your paid pass. For unresolved refund queries, you can also contact Lemon Squeezy Support. This guarantee applies to the 10-Day Release Pass and is additional to your legal rights. It does not shorten any statutory cancellation period or limit your rights if ImgTool is faulty or not as described.

You may have a legal right to cancel a distance purchase. Supplying digital content during that period can require your prior express consent and acknowledgement that the cancellation right will be lost when supply begins. We will rely on that exception only where the purchase process actually records the required choice and provides the corresponding confirmation. This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty or not as described.

Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to a remedy if the service is not performed with reasonable care and skill, or if the digital content is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described.

If your pass or export does not work as described, email [email protected] with your order reference and a description of the problem. Contacting us promptly helps us investigate, but there is no seven-day deadline for exercising your statutory rights. We will investigate and arrange the remedy you are entitled to, which may include putting the problem right, a price reduction, or a refund. Please check your junk or spam folder for our reply.

Lemon Squeezy handles transaction refunds as merchant of record. We will help you raise the request with them. Neither this policy nor Lemon Squeezy's discretionary refund policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you have.

5e. One-time purchases

The current Release Pass products are one-time, non-recurring purchases. There is no automatic renewal. If recurring products are introduced later, their billing and cancellation terms will be published clearly before you purchase them.

6. Intellectual property

Rights in ImgTool's original code, branding, and design belong to the operator where applicable. Third-party libraries, fonts, and media remain subject to their own licences; see Media credits. We do not claim ownership of those third-party works.

You may use the app and create exports as described in these terms and the media permissions. Access to the site's source code does not by itself grant permission to republish or sell ImgTool's original code. This restriction does not limit permissions granted by an applicable open-source licence or rights that the law does not allow us to restrict.

7. Limitation of liability

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our failure to meet these terms or to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes your mandatory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content or services, or our responsibility for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

Export speed and compatibility depend on the supported browsers, hardware, and settings described before purchase. Please keep backups of your source media and saved projects. This backup advice does not remove any responsibility we have under law.

8. Third-party services

The service integrates or links to third-party services including Lemon Squeezy (payments), Cloudflare (CDN/security), Google Analytics (analytics, consent-gated), and YouTube (embedded videos). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Their own practices are outside our control, but this does not remove any responsibility we have under law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. The terms shown when you buy apply to that pass, and new terms apply to future purchases. Any material change affecting an existing pass will be explained and handled consistently with your consumer rights.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
